I use Simple Green (All-Purpose Cleaner, the leader of non-toxic, biodegradable, environmentally safer cleaning products) to clean the chain and cassette.
I use a old brush (the kind you use to wash dishes with, but make sure they are old that way the plastic is soft not hard) I got my brush from ikea in the kitchen dept =)
